After-School Enrichment Program

Spring 2007 Show: "Honk! Jr."

In April 2007, our students performed the Broadway production, "HONK! Jr.". Honk! Jr. is a contemporary retelling of Hans Christian Andersen's classic story, "The Ugly Duckling" - a great reminder of all the things we hope kids learn--accept others for who they are, not what they look like, remember that being different is okay, and remember that "out there somewhere, someone's gonna love you -- warts and all!" Themes/Issues Explored: Tolerance, Prejudice, Running Away, Sibling Rivalry. This was such a fun experience for the students AND the parents!

At-Your-School Enrichment

Arts in Education

Performing arts programs have unfortunately been cut from school curriculums nationwide. After-school enrichment programs provide schools and parents an alternative way to support the importance of arts in their students' education.

Convenience

Today's parents find themselves chauffeuring their children to and from extra-curricular activities which can be stressful and quite time-consuming. Having an after-school enrichment program held at their child's school means less driving and less hassle (shorter lines at the car pick-up!)

Affordable

Providing your child with the extra-curricular activities s/he wants can end up being quite costly for parents. Our after-school enrichment programs are 1/3 to 1/2 the price of similar programs in the area!

Quality Educators

Although many school teachers express an interest in running an after-school drama program, they often do not have the experience or credentials necessary to create a truly successful program. It is often a frustrating experience for them and they may often decide to quit after a semester or two. Parents are also more eager to spend money on classes taught by professionals in a particular discipline, to make it an optimal and worthwhile experience for their child. Our teachers are experienced educators in their field who have the necessary degrees and work experience in order to teach that particular discipline.

Would you like to make money for your PTA/PTSA

Having an after-school enrichment program at your school is another way to fundraise for the PTA/PTSA. Parents pay for the program directly to their school's PTA/PTSA*. In addition, selling ads in show programs, tickets and concessions at the shows generate more profit for your school!

*Payments may also go through your school's After School Program.

Musical Theatre (grades 3-5, 6-8, 9-12)

Parent Testimonials

This program offers something for every child. It boosts confidence and self esteem. Most of all, it offers the opportunity for children to be creative through acting and design. What a wonderful way to learn and grow! Thank you for all you do!
        - J.H.

My daughter was always very shy and quiet. During these past two months in drama club she really came out of her shell! This encourages me to allow her to join again! I also cannot wait for her sister to join next year when she comes to middle school. Thank you!
        - E. Remante

When my son was first told he was doing a drama class, he asked "Why?" But after his first class he gave it a "thumbs up"! It's a great way for children or anyone to practice public speaking and being in front of an audience. Very helpful for someone who is shy.
        - S.L.H.

The amount of learning all the different aspects of theatre was incredible. I was impressed with the syllabus itself! The children all appeared relaxed and most of all, that they were having a blast. Thank you!
        - Julia L. Davis

My child loves drama. She says she will stay in for ALL of middle school. When she gets older, she wants to be an actress. YOU ROCK!
        - R.L.
